EPPF’s Company Secretary appointed SA’s Pension Funds Adjudicator

Johannesburg, 5 November 2025 – EPPF congratulates Mr Lebogang Mogashoa on his appointment as South Africa’s next Pension Funds Adjudicator. He served as EPPF’s Legal Advisor between May 2015 and January 2020, and then as Company Secretary from October 2021. He was also appointed EPPF’s Deputy Principal Officer in June 2023.

The Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA) was established in terms of the Pension Funds Act of 1956 and is mandated to deal with complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.

EPPF’s Chief Executive and Principal Officer, Mr Shafeeq Abrahams, says while the pension fund is sad to lose Mr Mogashoa, the team is ecstatic that his visionary leadership and commitment to good governance are being recognised through the new appointment. “Lebogang is a consummate legal professional; known for his dedication to fairness and business ethics. I have no doubt that he’s going to elevate the OPFA to even greater heights.” EPPF wishes the outgoing Pension Funds Adjudicator, Ms Muvhango Lukhaimane; also, an EPPF alum, all the best with her future endeavours.
