The below communication has been revised to correctly reflect that elected trustees represent the interests of all members.

The Eskom Pension and Provident Fund (the "EPPF" or "Fund") is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of 14 Board Members, seven of whom must be elected by members and pensioners of the Fund.

The Trustee Elections 2019/20, the campaign to elect member and pensioner representatives to serve on the Board of Trustees, commenced in June 2019.

In order to increase participation and accessibility to members and pensioners across the country, the Fund introduced new voting channels. These increase the number of options for voting and decreased the technical and cost barriers for participation.

The EPPF appointed an Independent Electoral Officer (IEO) who was be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that the election process is free and fair. As communicated by the IEO on Monday, 6 April 2020, the Trustee Election results are final. Below is the final list of elected representatives:

The election of these seven trustees completes the first part of the appointment process for our new Board of Trustees who will assume office on 1 June 2020 and serve the best interests of all members.

The process for the appointment of the seven nominated trustees (employer- appointed) is underway and we anticipate that an announcement in this regard will be made no later than 31 May 2020.

The appointment of the remaining seven Trustees will complete the appointment of the Board of Trustees who will serve the Fund for the next three years until 31 May 2023.

The Fund wants to thank our members and pensioners who participated in the 2019/20 Trustee Elections in numbers. We also want to recognise those members and pensioners who took an interest and availed themselves as candidates willing to serve members.

To our newly elected and re-elected trustees: congratulations. We wish you a successful term as you serve our pensioners and members and ensure the continued success of the Fund.
