EPPF appoints new Chief Financial Officer

Dear Members,

 

The Eskom Pension and Provident Fund (“the Fund”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Thandie Mashego as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) with effect from 1 February 2022. This follows the appointment of the then CFO, Shafeeq Abrahams, to the role of Chief Executive and Principal Officer last year. 

 

Thandie is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 23 years of experience in Finance and Investment management. She joins the Fund from WDB Investment Holdings where she served as CFO since June 2016. She previously served as CFO of Vantage Capital Group between June 2014 and May 2016. Prior to her tenure with Vantage Capital Group, she held various roles at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) from May 2003 to May 2014.

 

Thandie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting, both obtained from the University of Natal and a Master’s degree in Business Leadership obtained from the University of South Africa. Further to that, she has completed a Leadership Development Programme with the Da Vinci Institute of Technology. She has served on various boards throughout her career . 

 

As CFO, Thandie will lead the EPPF’s Finance and Investment Administration teams. Her experience compliments the executive leadership capability as we position the Fund for further growth.
