​​When you are an in-service member and leave the service of the employer, one of the options available to you is to defer your full benefit or a portion thereof in the EPPF within the Deferred Pension Scheme.

The Deferred Pension Scheme allows you to leave your entire benefit or a portion thereof in the EPPF while it attracts interest and grows after you have left the EPPF.

You will be able to retire from the Deferred Pension Scheme and access your retirement benefit from age 55 years, but must retire from the Deferred Pension Scheme by age 65 years. The retirement benefit consists of a monthly pension which is payable for life.​
